This tapestry is based on the concept of the seven major chakras (or energy centers) of the East Indian Kundalini, which are located from the base of the spine up through the head. Each energy center is a specific color and has individual characteristics. You do not have to know anything about chakras to respond to the piece, though. The affirmations are my interpretation and response to the system; they are the self-imposed rules that guide my life.
